Love, Loss, and Starting Over: Julie's Journey of Self-Discovery
Julie is a collegiate tennis player whose entire identity is destroyed the day she graduates college. Furious at herself for the choices she’s made, Julie is determined to start over and rebuild her life. She forges a new path as a businesswoman and works hard to achieve success in her career but marries the wrong guy and later goes into debt. Desperate to undo her mistakes, Julie gets a divorce and out of debt, but now she’s living alone with the guilt and shame of her past decisions yet again.
Then she meets Jack–a smart successful businessman who she thinks is the one. A romance flourishes and they fall in love, but Jack tells Julie a relationship is impossible because he’s moving to Paris for the next three years. Julie and Jack remain close as they live separate lives, and Julie is hopeful their courtship continues when he returns. They reunite when he returns, but their relationship leads to a surprise stalemate and breakup.
Devastated, Julie quits her job to travel the world for six months. She doesn’t know what life has in store for her during her travels or when she returns home. She only knows that she needs to distance herself from her own life as she prepares to start over once again. Julie begins to heal during her trip, but Jack re-enters her life and wants to win her back. Now Julie must decide what to do from the other side of the world.
